From a small town called Leutkirch im Allgäu in the south of Germany, Susanne has been studying Communication Design at the University of Applied Sciences in Schwäbisch Gmünd. Currently in her fifth semester, she recently joined us to learn more about UX design, branding and get an impression of how this business works in real life.
With a passion for illustration, she soon learned a lot about visual design. She realised just how wide this field was, with so many possibilities, that she decided to take the leap into the digital design world instead. Still able to add some illustration to her craft, she loves the constant evolution of digital products, meaning she’ll continue to learn throughout her career.
“I’m usually quite persistent and patient. Being curious and learning new things is very important to me.”
We can see this in her too with how she absorbs information, tests her limits, and creates beautiful designs to share with us. Next steps will be learning about structuring content, animation for web, implementing everything with tools like Webflow, and creating an appealing portfolio.
We found out that she loves photography and currently explores digital art rather than the traditional media she’s been involved with up until now. For her, exploring the Netherlands means getting out into nature and visiting small concerts. Normally she also loves to hike “but it’s a bit too flat for that around here”. We feel your pain, Susi. It’s the reason we all holiday in different countries.
We’re really looking forward to seeing what else she makes during her time with us and we’ll keep you all posted on what she brings to the table!
