Medifoor platform
Intro
The Medifoor project group, a customer with whom we have been working together for a number of years, received some good news at the beginning of 2022: their application for the Cultuur Innovatiefonds Provincie Utrecht (CIPU) grant was approved! This allowed us to finally start working on converting the previously built prototype to the long-awaited platform. In April we started building the new website together with this creative group of artists and doctors.

The concept “medifoor” was created by a group of enthusiastic doctors, illustrators and communication specialists. Mediforen are visual, medical metaphors that explain how the body works and show what happens in the body when it’s affected by a disease, such as pneumonia or thrombosis. They are designed to improve communication between doctors and patients and increase the success rate of a patient’s treatment.

A few years ago we created a first prototype for Medifoor and now the time has finally come: after an extensive wireframe and design phase, we have started building the complete website. Soon, doctors, patients and other interested parties will be able to find the wide range of medical metaphors online. On the website, the mediforen are divided into different categories to make it easier for visitors to find the information they are looking for. With a clear navigation, user-friendly search function and colourful illustrations that are made by the illustrators of the Medifoor project group, the website will serve the different target groups.

Are you curious to see the end result? Keep an eye on our website and social media at the end of this year. In the meantime, you can check out our other work here.
